Scottish Sanctuary

I love to look after people and to help them feel welcome and at ease. Having a space for my daughter and I to retreat to as well as a space for other people to enjoy is a dream that finally came true in January 2022. 

Our static caravan "Coastal Coorie" is located in Southerness on the Solway Coast. The Scottish word 'coorie' means 'snuggle, wellness, contentment', similar to the Scandinavian 'hygge' or the Welsh 'cwtch'. I believe this perfectly portrays the experience you will have on your holiday in my caravan by the sea!

The perfect place to Rest and Restore!

She sleeps eight people - here we go with 8 again :) and all bedding and kitchen equipment was brand new in February 2022.

Less than five minutes' walk to the beach. On-site is an entertainment complex, swimming pool, shop, launderette. Loads of activities for children. 

Prices are extremely reasonable for the size of the caravan and the facilities available. This is because I know how hard it can be to afford family holidays, yet also how important and necessary they are for wellbeing, so it is my wish that families from all walks of life have the opportunity of a much-needed break. If you are a single parent on a low income please contact me.

My plan for the charitable arm of Restfed is to obtain funding to enable low income families to experience Rest and Restoration - mums in desperate need of respite and families in desperate need of healing time together. If this applies to you please get in touch.
